REVIVE AN OLD TRADITION
MAKE HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS
Create 3-D Traditional Star Ornaments Sunday, December 7, 2007 2-3:30 pm
Making elegant, geometric 5-pointed and 6-pointed stars is the workshop topic at Teacher Place & Parent Resources, downtown Burlington, Wisconsin. The workshop is for ages 10- adult. The satisfaction of making these beautiful ornaments yourself is part of traditional holidays around the world, when decorations were always made by hand. “As gifts, they come from the heart,” said Judith Schulz, director of the non-profit, educational center.
The stars are 3-dimentional and made of special papers becoming beautiful geometric shapes fit for tree ornaments or window decorations. “These stars are excellent for a math, science, or holiday project in the classroom anytime of the year as well,” added workshop instructor Ray Ziebell. The star workshop fee is $10/person, or for a family of 4 or more just $9 each; and includes all materials and professional instruction. Advance phone reservations are needed, as space is limited. The non-profit, educational center is at 533 Milwaukee Ave, Burlington, Wisconsin. Parking is free. Call (262) 763-3946 for information and reservations. |
